A standard hook forged with a very strong bend. The O’Shaughnessy Short Shank Hook in the Captain’s Rig is relatively thick, very strong, and not likely to open. Generally designed for saltwater. Great for general bottom fishing use and when going after heavy or strong fish in saltwater and freshwater. When going after heavy or strong fish in saltwater or freshwater, the shape of the O’Shaughnessy short shank hooks provides greater resistance to opening.
